Migraine changes

Has anyone had a change in what causes their migraines?
I've had sporadic migraines with aura since my teens. Not particularly bad ones. Have had maybe 2 in the last 4 years.
I'm now starting my 3rd migraine in as many days. I'm 99% sure it's period linked which it never has been. There's barely any aura but I feel sick and shakey at the end.
I'm wondering how usual this change is and what I can do to reduce them?

Migraleve usually works for me
Stress canset mine off and hormonal changes
Have you eaten anything different? Cheese red wine and chocolate canset mine off too. As can not eating enough and being hungry too long.
The sun shining in my eyes or straining to see something or too much screen time can also

Could be age/hormonal related if you are older. Or could be one migraine that's not shifting. Poss worth seeing Dr about significant changes.

I agree with Tatty, all those things are triggers for me too.

Are you on any medication for them? I take 1mg pizotifen every night as a preventative and it really helps me function.

Before I would have had a full blown migraine every week or 2 (no aura just pain, shaking, vomiting) and had some degree of facial pain most days. Now I think I've had maybe 1 in the last six months. Occasionally I have to take an extra tablet If I feel the symptoms starting but it seems to work for me. Maybe something you could discuss with your GP?

Sorry sent before I meant to type this: obviously if you don't have them often you dobt want medication every day but that's how it started for me - few migraines over years and then a very stressful period triggered wave upon wave of them until they were regular. Take a look at lifestyle; stress, maybe keep a food diary and see if you can work out your triggers

It's not diet or stress.
I'm 39 and this is the first time I've had one near my period (period started today).
It feels like 3 or at least 2 separate ones.
I wasn't sure about going to the doctor but it sounds best to be on the safe side.
