Any recommendations for a home blood pressure monitors?

My doctor has suggested I get a blood pressure monitor for use at home, but the more I look the more befuddled I'm becoming!
Should I be looking for an upper arm or a wrist monitor? Is one more accurate than the other?

Definitely upper arm. Mine is a Boots one. When I bought it I was urged to take it in to the practice nurse at the gp so that she could check it’s accuracy. I think she put hers one one arm and mine on the other.

Get an Omron, they do various models, and are often the ones used in surgeries. And definitely upper arm.

Very helpful, thank you.
I was looking at the Omron ones so that's good to know.
My reading always goes sky high at the surgery so was put straight onto medication until u saw a new doctor today who suggested this to get a more accurate reading.
It was actually quite a eureka moment to see a doctor questioning Wether all my meducation was necessary. He's fresh out of training so actually took the time to talk through things, I think I might be a little in love. If only my 17yo DD was just a little older I might have been tempted to invite him for tea ☺
