Headaches on waking

I have massive health anxiety

I've had this now for a month - waking up and then within a few minutes having a headache which seems to resolve itself as the morning progresses and sometimes I'll get another headache later in the day.
It is usually on my forehead/temples and I describe it as feeling "stuffy".

Sometimes I'll take paracetamol or nurofen other times I'll let the headache pass on its own.

I've been to the GP who says it's sinuses and I've had a course of antibiotics. However, I've not had a cold/mucus so I'm unconvinced.

Historically, I saw a neurologist as I was getting these headaches but I stopped the contraceptive pill and thus they stopped too. I also have a history of aura migraines.

I'm not sick/nauseous or experiencing aura with these.

I have also seen my dentist who is going to make me a guard.

However, I made the mistake of googling and now I've self diagnosed all sorts and have scared myself shitless.

I have health anxiety too - I never allow myself to Google anything!

My first thought is dehydration. I try to remember to bring a drink up to avoid this. So if you wake in the night have a Drink.

Sinus issues don't need to be caused by a cold and don't often produce loads of snot. You can try doing the towel over a bowl of boiling water to try and clear them.

Of course - anxiety and a poor nights sleep often leads to headaches for me!

Do you drink a lot of coffee? I get a headache if I have my last cup of coffee too early in the day.

Are you aware of clenching your jaw/grinding your teeth?
I get these kind of headaches, I hadn't connected the two until I mentioned my clicky jaw to dentist and he asked if I get these kind of headaches too. It's most days and worse when I'm stressed. He said a guard would help.
Also seeing a chiropractor who diagnosed a lot of back problems and tension in my neck shoulders which also contribute but have lessened with treatment.
