Doctors for small breasts?

I'm expecting to get some hate on this thread.. but I hope not! My question is about going to the doctor's about having small breasts. I'm 23, up until now I a small B cup, which I felt was small but I was okay with it, since having my 2 children however I am barely filling an A cup.
I am aware that beauty is more than skin deep and I do try to be positive with my body (I am weight training for bikini competitions for example) but it is affecting my every day life. I will only wear tops that are loose and baggy, I cannot shop for bras without getting upset and ending up more suited to the section for your first bra. I refuse to wear padding, they seem misleading to me, not to mention my boobs are so small they just ride up anyway as nothing holds them in place. I don't feel like a woman, whatever I wear, however nice it is, all I can see is my flat chest and I struggle to be seen by others when it's all im aware of. My partner is supportive and he loves me, but he knows how much it gets me down. I would happily pay for a boob job but with my full time uni I have no opportunity to even think about earning enough right now. I already have mental health issues, and this seems to add to those now. I don't want to go and get laughed at or seem like im trying to scrounge from the NHS, im really not, but I really don't know what to do! Anyway thanks for reading 🌸

My breasts were underdeveloped as a result of me having anorexia and being underweight throughout my teens, I was in a completely flat chested and wore a AA bra just for the sake of wearing a bra.
I expected the NHS to fund treatment for my anorexia because my life was actually in danger, I think there would of been a good chance that as my small breasts were caused by another medical issue that I would of been able to get implants on the NHS (at least that is what I was told at the time), but I really I would rather the limited funds went to help someone else with anorexia, to keep them alive rather than to give me boobs so I saved up and went privately ( I actually think this is the safer option you have more say in the surgeon and what you want). You are not going to be any better of a person if you have big boob, you might want them but the NHS is here to pay for things you need not that you want.

It's perfectly possible to live a normal life with small boobs (and feel pretty, sexy, and everything else).. This! You really, really need to believe this OP.

If you do decide to go through with it OP, I’d really advise saving as much as you can as you may alter how you feel over time, but if you do go through with the operation, there’s some advice on finding a good surgeon here.

You have really answered your own questions OP.

No need to be rude about my comments on dysmorphia- it's something that may have applied. And if you have an eating disorder, that needs treating. Yes, building muscle will add weight. I know that. But it's not JUST weight you need, you want 'curves'. For this you may have to be less toned and muscly than you'd prefer and with a bit more fat.

You say you are already being treated for your MH and self harm issues and that the self harm manifests itself by you not eating much. So the solution is there- talk to whoever is treating you for this now.

How will bra intervention change the size of her breasts? Lol

NapQueen · 26/02/2018 07:32

No one is saying it will change the size of her boobs. But if she is wearing (eg) a 34a, is anorexic, more likely a 28 band size which would make the cup more a d.

A boob job typically costs around £5K or more.

If you bra is riding up it's too big. You should be able to slide no more than 2 fingers under the band and it should take a bit of effort to to that- the band should fit tightly.

Measure under your breasts around your rib cage. I measure 29 inches under, wear a 30D cup. If you measure 28, you need a 28 back bra. If you measure less than 28 you need to go into a smaller back size which could mean a specialist shop or teen bras.

Bras that ride up are simply far too loose.

Hi BlankSpace1. I think it’s your personal choice and you should not be bothered by judgemental comments. Saw a post on FaceBook about a new product/service being launched, called NowMeInfinity. Apparently it’s all about guiding people on their cosmetic surgery journey! You might want to check it out.
All the best!

Look at my name op! I lost weight through a mix of long term physical and mental health problems. I went from DDs to much, much smaller breasts that are very obviously unequal in size (one much smaller than the other, the other is very small anyway). I'm 30 years old.

I understand the want for surgery, although personally it isn't a route I wish to take (not that I can afford it anyway). I'm very scared about summer. I've hidden under baggy jumpers all winter and gone braless. I went bra shopping and got so upset at nothing fitting, that's what prompted me to start my thread.

I'm trying to gain weight and was advised in my thread that a dietician could be helpful. I'm trying counselling atm for my mental health issues and I hope this will help with my eating. I know I don't eat enough. I've not done this yet but getting measured correctly is important. Boob or bust I think is the website I was told to use.
