Is this a UTI, weak pelvic floor or diabetes?

Recently I've noticed that I leak wee Blush I'm only 38.
Particularly straight after I've been to the loo, a little bit more 'bubbles' out afterwards. I'm aware of it more when I've been walking or standing for long periods. I'm getting really paranoid about being smelly.

Have I just got a weak pelvic floor and need to do exercises or could it be an indication of something more serious?

Could be one, none, or all of the above!
The only way is to rule things out, so get a GP appt and take a urine sample. They'll initially do a dipstick test which will show any obvious signs of infection and I think they can tell some symptoms of diabetes from this too - discuss your concerns.

A noticeable smell from your urine is also a sign of infection. A general unpleasant odour from your ladybits could also indicate thrush or bacterial vaginosis, both easily treated.

Pelvic floor issues can also cause leakage. I don't recommend kegels, look up Katy Bowman online - she's a US biomechanist who's developed proper exercises that will strengthen your pelvic floor.

Pelvic floor and bladder issues can also be affected by estrogen levels I think (I only know this because I'm in peri meno, have read too much and am having to tackle both!) though you might be too young for that to be an issue. X

Agree with Ellen.

Another thing, when you've finished weeing - lean back on the loo seat (maybe lift your feet off the ground slightly) - and you'll probably find the excess urine comes out that way. Rather than in your knickers.

Your local pharmacy can probably screen you for diabetes. Theyll ask you some questions, and take your blood glucose. If your blood sugar is high, theyll invite you back for a fasting test and then refer if its still high.

You can get all that done before you manage to get a GP appointment (to rule out a UTI, although you have no other UTI symptoms I assume). Unless you've got a very quiet GP practice.
