Hi. I have struggled with my weight most of my life. The lowest I’ve weighed being 9 stone and the highest being 17 stone.

I wonder if your previous successful weight loss has primed your body to need fewer calories, like in the attached article. mobile.nytimes.com/2016/05/02/health/biggest-loser-weight-loss.html?referer=www.google.co.uk/
I am sorry you are upset OP.

Have you actually written down everything you eat and drink in a typical week including weekends and add up all the calories. Include every single thing including all drinks and fruit.
If you eat an Indian takeaway or a pizza nearly every weekend that's another entire day's food in one meal. Not saying you do mind! So an extra 1400 calories and that'd be 2 whole hours running on a treadmill (probably close to a week of the gym for example).
Just to be aware that going off plan at the weekend can add more than you think. If you are not losing weight then you are taking in more energy than you are burning.

OP, it sounds to me like comparing your progress vs effort to that of your OH might be getting you down.

Everyone is different and we all have varying metabolisms (and react differently to different foods - I only have to look at carbs to put on weight whereas I know slim people who eat them quite happily and never gain an ounce).

I would suggest switching up your exercise regime and trying bodypump or boxercise or something.

And also, I think you should focus on the fact that you have lost a huge amount of weight and have made fantastic progress - stop comparing yourself to other people, even if they are eating the same meals as you!

The truth about weight loss is that it has far more to do with calorie intake than excercise.

You could jog or cycle for an hour and only burn 500 calories. Come home, have a coffee and something trivial and put it all back on again.

Excercise is more to do with cardiovascular health than weight loss.

Weight loss occurs when applying a calorie deficit over time.
Its about what you eat and how much in total.

It really is very easy to eat the recommended 2000 cal for a woman and exceed it.

dirtybadger · 02/02/2018 20:21

What do you weigh your food with? Do you measure out non water liquids? What % of your exercise do you eat back?

Apparently an underactive thyroid can reduce your calorie needs by about 5%. In vegan....when I went veggie I gained a lot of weight as everything was swapped out for unsatiating carbs, and cheese.

There is no basis for reducing without a medical need (diabetes, PCOS, etc), other than the fact some people dont find th3m satiating. Some people dont feel satiated without them. So if you like carbs, stick with them, just track everything pedantically.

Do you measure and track your "cheat" meals?

dirtybadger · 02/02/2018 20:24

Oh yeah, and as above, exercise doesnt have much to do with weight loss. I train 7-10 hours a week, and I got fat doing that no problem. If anything it makes it harder, as increased appetite can become difficult to interpret.

Sounds like you could be doing with a carb re feed to be honest. I also think you should look up team rh fitness on fb. Very.helpful to people like yourself who can look at all your data and pinpoint what the issue is.
