GP muttered something about a prolapse, now will trampoling be hazerdous to my health?

I had an internal last week and the GP mentioned that I had a prolapse but she would keep an eye on it. I am desperately trying to get fit and slim down and wondered if I use our trampoline, will I be aiding the prolapse on its way?

And can anyone recommend any exercises that could help with preventing the prolapse from going any further?

Trampolining might cause an unexpected leak! Worth getting referred to a physio so she can advise you exercises that will improve your pelvic floor. HTH

Its Kegel exercises you need to do. Try to get in the habit of doing them on and off all day. They work if you do them often enough. Description \

I would think definitely no to trampolining.

Hi RTB, I've had prolapse of the vaginal walls since the birth of DD (5 months). The GP didn't know much about it but referred me to hospital physiotherapist who is helping me with pelvic floor exercises. They have probes hooked up to computers which help you see when you are doing the exercises right and how much stronger the muscles are getting. They told me all exercise was fine as long as I took it easy and built up slowly. Might be worth getting back in touch with your GP and asking for a referral to get help doing the exercises right, it really is great support! Hope that helps.

It is a prolapse of the uterus.

Thank you for the link to the exercises. Looks like I shall be standing at the kitchen sink doing them as I wash up!

Shame about the trampoline but I definitely do not want to spend my time crossing my legs in future so I shall avoid that!

Thank you ladies!

Sorry, meant to say, it was all a bit of a shock when the GP told me I had it that I did not take in everything she said so I will make an appointment to go back and see her and see if I can be referred to a physio.
