My Mum has admitted having pains in her chest, progressively getting worse, possibly originally thought of (by her) as indigestion, as they infrequently woke her at night.
The other day she had some during the day and was in a panic so was taken to the GP as she was concerned about a heart attack.
No heart attack.
This time last year I had severe gallbladder issues and her attacks sound just like mine did. She was back today for more blood tests and I asked my parents to bring up possible gallbladder issues, especially given my history, and to mention the very simple murphy’s test.
Since this could have been performed instantly in the surgery (they are a 3hr drive from a hospital with doctors in it) why do you think that doctor just ignored this. Is it something that a GP would know about, or just something consultants in hospitals know about?
