When is confusion with a fever too much?

DD19 staying with us while she is unwell. She has had typical flu symptoms for the last 2 days: sneezing, sore throat, coughing, headache, achy body, swapping between shivering/sweating, a fever. She has also just last night started to complain of a stomach ache and says it feels a bit she like she has a UTI.
I haven’t been overly concerned as she hasn’t been ill long. But last night she started to get quite dazed - wasn’t answering when I said her name, I’d have to shake her to get her attention but she said she was just feeling tired and spaced out.
However, in the night DH got up to use the toilet and DD had her bedroom door open and was sat up awake. DH asked if she was okay and she said the TV kept waking her up. The TV in her room is unplugged and has been for months. DH sat with her for a little while hoping she’d fall asleep. She said ‘no I’ve already got some water’ to DH despite him not even offering her a drink, then said ‘it’s ok MUM you can go back to bed I’m going to fall asleep’.
I’m probably just being a worrier as I haven’t ever been with someone who’s confused as a result of a fever before but do you think we should do anything or just monitor her ? Thanks for all your help in advance just worried

I would call the GP or 111 for advice.

I would call 111 as well - I have been spaced out and dazed with a fever and needed antibiotics

How is she this morning? If she's still confused I'd be seeking medical advice straight away. If she seems lucid then I'd probably assume that she was half asleep last night when your dh was talking to her.

My friend had Australian flu and said she was hallucinating her dh got the Dr out, give your gp a ring.

Hi all thank you so much for your replies. When dd woke up this morn she had no recollection of even seeing her dad in the night. I spoke to the GP and they asked me to take in a urine sample for her. It’s looking like she’s been very unfortunate and has got a kidney infection and a bad cold at the same time :( Seeing them run down and unwell doesn’t get any easier no matter how big they get!
