Am beginning to wonder if i am actually just lazy.
About 2 years ago my glands came up all over my body and although i felt well i was extremely tired for months.
GP did bloods and not aenemaia or glandular fever.I just put it down to a virus.
it seems to have come back this last month or so.I am so tired it is stopping me doing things i would would normally do now.
If i dig in the garden after about an hour i have to sit down and the hand i have been usuing will ache and tremble for ages.I am now realising that as it has happened slowly over a long period of time going for a LIE DOWN has become part of the norm now and it shouldnt be.FGS i havent got time to lie down.I am only 36 and usually fit for anything.
By tea time i am totally shatterred and go to bed with kids whenever i can.
I used to be a real party animal but now find myself coming home at 10 pm because i am ready for bed.
Any suggestions anyone please.Could it be a virus and if so how long will i feel like this.

Have you had your thyroid checked, sounds just like my sister and she had an underactive thyroid gland. She is much better now she is on medication.

I agree - get the GP to do a thyroid function test.

Post viral fatigue syndrome?? Go back to gp. If it is post viral fatigue it is very important to rest, so you must get a proper diagnosis. Good luck.

Hi
I had my thyroid checked first time around aout 2 years ago.
TBH i always thought things like Post Viral Fatigue and Chronic fatigue syndrome were just waffly and non existant !
Is there really such a thing i now wonder (yawns and off to bed asap )

There really is such a thing, and it can be very, very debilitating.

Go and get yourself checked out.

Re the thyroid - lots can change in two years. Are your children very young? Because thyroid problems following a pregnancy are very common.

Ok thanks
i`ll get it checked again and go see my gp.
Thanks all x
