Best sun cream for kids' sensitive skins?

Going to France next month and looking for some suitable sun cream for DD (10 months) and DS (4). Both suffer from sensitive skin/mild eczema so I'm seeking something that won't irritate them too much. Any suggestions?

Green People, definitely. Fantastic stuff.

Many thanks for the advice. Just wondering whether anyone knew of any cheaper products that did a similar job. I've already had to shell out big style for kids' clothes, passports etc etc so haven't got much left in the coffers...

My dd2 suffered from eczema when she was younger and I was in a quandary about suncreams before our first hot holiday abroad with her. I spoke to the GP and he prescribed E45 suncream to try before we went. It worked for us and we have had repeat prescriptions of it over the years. However, she is not so sensitive now and we're currently using Banana Boat.

Cheers for that, PM...will definitely give the E45 a go.

If you're coming to France, get to a pharmacie once you're here and buy some Avene sunscreen. It's formulated for sensitive skin, even eczema, with Avene spa water and is great.

Ds has always reacted to the most commercial suncreams you can buy here, even where they promise that they are for sensitive skin, etc. So I use Mustela for him, which is actually a French product. It is easily found in the pharmacy sections of the French supermarkets - HyperU/SuperU, E. LeClerc, Intermarche, etc.

I also was recently recommneded Bergaderm and it is even better. The cheapest I found it is from www.sunshinehealth.co.uk . It is a mousse that is absorbed really well into the skin. It has no added fragrance (although has a slight smell) and ds has used it all this weekend with no problems at all.

Meant to say that we have tried E45, Soltan for Kids, Nivea sensitive and a few others, but they all caused a reaction in ds.

I use Vichy factor 40 kids sensitive for my ds/ Amazing sunscreen and if anything his skin is better when using it. Spray is £15 but lasts ages.

Didn't even think about buying sun cream in France - what a good idea (which will also save me a bit of luggage space seeing as we're fly-driving). Frenchleave, I used Avene myself a few years ago - I've also got sensitive skin - and thought it was wonderful...
