Vagina post birth?

Hi guys,
I didn't know where else to ask so hope this is ok. I had my first baby vaginally via forceps and I've always been the incision healed nicely no problems. The doctor at the checkup even said it's barely visible and she was very happy. It's nearly 6 months now though and despite pelvic floor exercises I've noticed a bit off puffiness still? It's not a prolapse, it's not from inside my vaginal canal, but more like the squishy bit at the opening of my vagina (sorry no idea if there is a scientific name) it's puffy at the bottom, like it protrudes quite a lot. It doesn't hurt but when I wipe its in the way and I find I have to be extra vigilant about cleanliness down there because of it. I've been worried about having sex again anyway and this doesn't help with self confidence. I never expected my vagina to go back to normal of course not and I don't care if it's a bit looser or anything but this protrusion just seems so abnormal and I've tried googling and it only comes up with prolapse which is not it. Anyone else experience this? I feel a bit like a lone alien here.

Please dont feel like an alien Thanks

I really suggest going back to see a female doctor who you feel comfortable talking to about this.

You need to go back and talk about this before it starts to really affect your confidence.

Hi, not sure what this is but I think I have something similar going on despite having a C section and not having to go through labour. I guess the weight of the baby during pregnancy caused it for me. Due to this I find inserting tampons and sex painful now. When I think back I had this pain when trying to do perennial massage when pregnant so I think for me it was pregnancy that caused it. It seems to get slightly better each month and I can now wear a tampon for a short time if going swimming, but they are still not 100% comfortable. Time and pelvic floors do seem to be helping me. Sorry to hear that’s not working for you.

Cystocele maybe? If so, v common after childbirth. Pelvic floor exercises may help a lot.

I have something similar, like an extra bit of skin. I raised it with the gp and she said it was normal post delivery as things get a bit stretched but if it's bothering you, ask to be referred to the gynaecologist
Thanks
