Why might I be feeling light headed?

I have googled common reasons and none seem to fit. I am not pregnant, hungry, dehydrated. I am not aware of having a heart condition. I have not stood up suddenly. In fact, i am feeling lightheaded sitting down.

It first happened a few days ago. I have been very busy lately, doing a lot of very concentration intensive crafting, and I was sitting, knitting very intensively when my head suddenly lolled, like when you are falling asleep. I thought I was over tired, it was late in the evening. But now it is mid afternoon and my head is lolling.

I do feel very pressurized and miserable, if that makes any difference, but I can assure you I am eating and drinking well and had a good 8 hour sleep last night. Oh, and apart from the weird feeling in my head, I feel perfectly well. Any ideas?

How is your sleeping generally, not just last night?

I've had this a few times recently. Lasts a couple of seconds but is very disconcerting. As with everything else my doctor says it's anxiety.

How's your blood pressure?

Hormones?

I get this a lot with anxiety. You can suffer the physical symptoms of stress and anxiety without necessarily thinking that you're anxious.

Ear infection?

Sleep is generally good. I sleep like a log. I wear a fitbit so I even know how much sleep I get. Not 8 hours a night all the time, but usually a good 7.5 minimum.

Blood pressure - a bit on the high side though not measured it for some time.

No ear trouble, and post menopausal so I'm not sure how much hormones can be blamed.

Anxiety and stress is always quite high. I am a stressy person sadly, and have been very busy lately. Interesting that your GP mentioned anxiety user. I tend to find my GP does the same thing whenever I mention any symptoms. Maybe it is, i dont know.

I began to think this afternoon it was a lack of food, despite having had breakfast and lunch, so I ate a handful of nuts and a mince pie, but I don't think it made much difference.
