Travel sick feeling before hot flush

Is this the start of the menopause? I've only had a couple, but it starts with feeling really sick, a bit dizzy, like I am really hungry or travel sick, and then the first time I also got a hot rush from my chest up to my ears. I could feel the heat coming off me. Is this normal, if there is indeed a normal for menopause?

Although I don't get the same symptoms as you I do get an odd feeling just before a hot flush starts - almost like a switch being triggered inside, accompanied by a raging thirst.

It happens less and less these days but the hot flushes started 2 or 3 years before my periods stopped at 53. I still get the funny pre-flush warning signs but fortunately I'm now past the worst of it.

This is what happens to me just before I get a hot flush! In fact, there's a few other "warnings" that I get -

my body shakes internally

feeling really nauseous

feeling of impending doom

general feeling of being unwell

raging thirst

then the hot flush happens and afterwards I feel ok again!

I don't get all the warnings all at the same time, they seem to alternate!

Could it be a panic attack?
This happens to me when I have an attack

It could be, but I don't usually feel like this when I am feeling anxious. I tend to get severe butterflies in my stomach and my throat dries up. I have had an issue with not being able to eat a lot for the past year which is an anxiety based issue and I have pretty much got it under control. The past week it has been rearing its ugly head again and I have had some issues eating, or rather, swallowing certain foods and some red wines sobs I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
