Bicornate uterus

Has anyone had effective treatment other than the coil for bicornate uterus? I've been having insanely heavy periods and ultrasound showed I've got a slight bicornate utterus, double lining, and adenomyosis.

The consultant strongly pushed for the coil, but I just don't like the idea of it (I had a very traumatic birth with dc2 and don't really want to mess around down there).

Hi please don’t rule out the Mirena for your heavy periods, I know there are some horror stories out there but also there are many success stories too. I have fibroids and am peri menopausal so Was getting extremely heavy periods, I was severely anemic and just couldn’t function properly.
After putting it off for ages I finally got the Mirena and it’s been a life saver, my periods petered out to nothing, anemic no more and finally got my life back. Please don’t be worried about insertion it’s a bit uncomfortable but over and done with really quickly and if you request they will use local anaesthetic, the other alternatives are ablation or hysterectomy which are pretty major, also if you don’t get on with the Mirena then just have it removed.
