If I said I had a cure for Psoriasis, would anyone be interested?

I suffer with this problem of psoriasis and have been offered many creams and other medications to make it appear less visible but none are cures and they only deal with the symptoms.
Sadly for me I suffer from two types of psoriasis but I have managed to almost rid myself of one of them and if anyone is interested I will tell you how I did it.

@flumpybear
I hope it works for you!
Psoriasis is a bloody nuisance and apparently only 2 percent of the worlds population suffer from it.

If talcum powder cured your "psoriasis " then you didnt have it in the first place.

Nope

RestingGrinchFace · 10/12/2017 12:11

Yes! I don't even have psoriasis but I love being scammed so much that I will buy your snake oil!

RandomMess · 10/12/2017 12:43

Not sure how talcum powder can cure an autoimmune disease, sounds like it's worth trying on psoriatic skin lesions but you'll still have psoriasis!!

Hebenon · 10/12/2017 12:45

This sounds like utter rubbish.

Psoriasis has no cure.

Cutting dairy from the diet and reducing stress can help reduce the severity.

Ifailed · 10/12/2017 12:55

Talcum powder cures psoriasis, pouring Hydrogen Peroxide into your ear cures the flu and common cold!
MN surely must be the centre of all modern medical research, and without any of those pesky trials and experiments, it can get these miracle cures our far quicker than those stuffy scientists.

I had a dramatic improvement to my psoriasis whilst on chemotherapy, to the point where it almost vanished completely.

The thing that confuses me about OP’s account is why anyone puts talc on wet skin.

Though of course it’s a good thing for OP that her psoriasis improved at the time she started using talc, I know mine doesn’t respond. My DMum was big on talc when we were small. And it didn’t seem to make any difference to the two flare ups (and mysterious ameliorations) I had in childhood

RandomMess · 10/12/2017 13:33

Methotrexate is a known treatment for psoriasis- puts your immune system into shut down.

There are at least 3 distinct types of psoriatic skin lesions I can see why talc would help with the "wet weepy" kind tbh.
