Ok before I start I have a doctors appointment next week, it was the soonest I could see my nice doctor, she takes time to listen rather than the other one who's mission it seems to get you out as soon as possible.

I had a stressful couple of months and things worked themselves out and I was worry free, then a few days/a week later I started feeling a little odd (felt slightly similar to the symptoms I had with PND, but much milder) I took some st johns wort to try and give myself a herbal lift, but had to stop 4 days later because I had dizziness.

Its now almost 2 weeks after I stopped taking them and I still have that feeling. Its pretty much there constantly, its not like I stand up and almost fall over, its jus a feeling thats always there. I made the mistake of looking on interet and dispite there being 267 causes of a dizzy head, I locked on straight to the ones that are life threatening!!!

just wondered if any positive story of people that had similar symptoms or could offer any advice. I did go to see the doctor last week, but was told it was only 5 days since stopped taking st johns wort and had to give it another week to see if it gets better.

TIA

I was reading an article recently that discussed the difficulties GPs have in interpreting what a patient means by "dizziness". So consider how you can best explain your symptoms.

Do you feel faint or light headed?
If so, is it just when you stand up quickly, or is it all the time?

Do you feel as if you are falling, or spinning?

Is it visual - do you see the room spinning?

Do you feel sick?

Do you have any hearing problems associated with it?

Do you feel tired/breathless/palpitations?

Is it worse at any particular time of day?

Is it related to eating or not eating?

These are the questions that the doctor should ask, but it helps if you have really thought about the answers, because, most;y they don't seem to take the time.

There are lots of causes - anaemia, ear problems, blood sugar problems - the list is endless. Don't google - you will scare yourself. Go and see your doctor, but have a really clear description of whaty you are experiencing.

Good luck - I hope you manage to get it sorted.
