12 day long periods

For the last two and a half years I have been having periods that last roughly 10-12 days. Before having my second child they were seven days. When I stopped breast feeding him and my periods came back they were 14 days long, this was attributed as a symptom of my thyroid attacking itself, apparently it can do this after a pregnancy sometimes, that soon corrected itself by my periods remained the same. I had a pelvic ultrasound which didn’t show up any abnormalities, and my gp finally agreed to do some hormone tests which all came back normal. No one can give me an answer as to why my periods are doing this, they just try to put me in the pill which I don’t want to do. I’m posting today because I feel so bloated and I have back pain, which I know are symptoms of ovarian cancer. I should also say that I have health anxiety, and I for this reason I do not think that if I go back to the gp for the millionth time he will refer me for another scan or a blood test. I also think I have a diastase recti (I have a dip in the middle of my stomach which makes me think this, I can close it around my fingers, sorry tmi) which a could be why my stomach sticks out a lot but then this swollen appearance can also be a sign of oc I know. Another thing going through my head is menopause, I’m only 32. Can I pay for a private scan and blood test without a referral, or could I pay to see a gyno privately who could refer me? I genuinely think my go will fob me off and make me feel like a nutter.

Thanks for the reply, I really don’t think he’ll refer me!
