Have you ever ‘pulled’ an ovary?!

Does anyone else get a really bad pain in the ovary, usual coincides with moving quickly and feels like you’ve ‘pulled’ something.... ? Iv had this loads. It happened earlier and now when I try to move it gets worse. I know this will go soon and I will be fine. I mainly get it in the right side and it isn’t ovulation as that’s a different pain?

Could be

mittelschmerz

I thought that was just normal ovulation pain? This is different, really painful and hurts so that I end up putting my hand on the area when I move?

I had this sensation and it turned out I had a cyst on my ovary, perhaps that’s a possibility?

Yes, I know exactly what you mean as I get it too and mainly on my right side as well. Curious what it is now.

Migraleve · 15/11/2017 23:50

Yes I used to feel this a lot years ago, it was at its worst when I was pregnant with DC3. Haven’t had it in ages, I always assumed it was one of those things

I get this sometimes. I’m struggling to think now if it’s always the same side.

I got it lots in early pregnancy

llmb · 16/11/2017 06:07

I’m definitely not pregnant. Good old dr google points towards a cyst.... don’t they have other symptoms? Iv had this for quite a while. Not daily or anything, in fact there is no pattern to it. Don’t cysts disappear on their own and if it was a big one, wouldn’t it cause other problems to make it known?

I used to get this but I think it was my coil sitting in the wrong place. I needed an ultrasound to check it's position and the sonogram revealed a "functional" cyst. Incidental and of no concern.

I had to have another us about 6 weeks later to check the position of the new coil Hmm and when I asked if my ovaries were ok she said they were "lovely" so I assume it's gone. I haven't felt the pain since so it's either gone or it was the coil.

A friend of mine had a large cyst and tells me she gets intermittent pain in that area.

Mention to your gp?

Yes I think I will try to get an appointment just to check
