Blisters on my tongue

I keep getting the odd blister on my tongue. Does anyone know why? Is it something lacking in my diet? I think I eat healthily, plenty of fruit and veg. I'm veggie. Been on a bit of a diet lately but not drastic just watching my sugar and calorie intake. They are painful and very annoying. Any advice welcome

Thanks hairyhat. The tomatoes one is interesting I do tend to eat a lot of tomatoes or tomato based meals. I'll try and cut them out for a bit and see what happens

I get them if I eat too many apples, tomatoes, or peppers (even if cooked) pineapple is a bugger too.

I've been eating more pineapple than usual lately too. Very interesting.

pineapple has some v strong enzymes in it. if i have a binge i can feel quite peculiar and i am very hardy!

The more I think about it the more I realise that the blisters are appearing after eating pineapple. I think a pineapple ban first before tomatos is in order

Do the blisters come on and off? Do they stay or disappear and re-appear? You probably should check with a GP if its too much. One of the causes might be over-heat in the body. Having some Yoghurt and other probiotics might help.

Thanks Anna but I think they appear the day after eating pineapple. They stay until healed I suppose. Haven't had any pineapple this week and have no blister at present (yay!)
