dehydration in 2 year old

My 2 yr old dd had a temperature of over 38 over the weekend, at times getting to over 39 degrees. She would not eat and drank hardly anything for the whole weekend, and weed only once a day. I phoned nhs direct who were concerned about her being dehydrated. However the emergency doctor that we were referred to has yet to ceel us back. When I phoned them after 6 hours I was told we were still on the waiting list.
Now she seems better and her temperature has dropped back to normal. Is it worth taking her to Drs or assume she is over it now?

Is she drinking a bit more now? I think Ribena with a little bit of salt added to it good for rehydrating, a bit like Dioralyte. If her temp has been down for a good while since she had her last dose of calpol, isn't creeping back up and she's started to drink a bit then I wouldn't worry too much about the docs. Chances are it's only a virus and she's over the worst of it now.

If she's still not drinking then I'd get the doc to check she isn't dehydrated.

Sorry to hear about your dc, I have been told flat coke is good for dehydration.
