Dr Mumsnet, please can you help me diagnose this

I've no idea, thought it was acne of some kind, maybe? (he is 12). He said it is sore, but not itchy. He's been putting Sudocrem on every night (past week I guess) so not sure if the white bits are the cream or his skin.
Trip to GP? Or start of normal teenage skin?

Go easy,those products are pretty harsh for sensitive skin.

I'm with Dame, I'd be treating it as irritated skin, and tea tree and exfoliator pads are more for acne and oily skin (light exfoliation can be helpful, but just a muslin cloth, no harsh products). A face wash for sensitive skin (Cetaphil), and a moisturiser such as Aveeno.
