Hi, I'd like your experiences of this please. Due to have it done with the contrast and guided needle next Fri followed by physio on the Mon. Have heard the physio part is more manipulation and not pleasant so am seriously considering not having any of it done and just putting up with this whilst it runs it's course. Have had it for about 10 months now. Has anyone had this? Did it improve? As I've also been told there is only a chance it'll work...thank you

I've pm'd you

Hi Lostmylunchmoney, thank you for replying, not sure how pm works so replying on here. The funny thing is, my pain has lessened recently, I'm about 10 months along now, so I kind of Don't want to start it up again iyswim but st the same time Don't want the pain back from when it was at its worst. Only the 1 physio session has been mentioned, nothing on going so I'm not sure if once is enough..anyway thank you again for sharing, and glad to hear the outcome has been positive for you, fingers crossed for mine Smile

Is that the steriod and air injection? I've just had that and it took a couple of weeks and several physio sessions to work. I was told there was a 80% success rate, without it the pain can last for years. Do your own research though. It wasn't painful (though I have had several surgeries and am tough as old boots) just odd and uncomfortable and my physio is lovely. Yes she hurt me a little but it helps in the end. Its great being able to shower and dress like a normal person again!

Thank you allypally, I can feel a bit of hope being restored, as you say-I've forgotten what it's like to fasten my bra at the back or shower normally. I might ring the physio team and ask re further sessions as surgeon has only said about having the one session. Thanks again

I found it very painful (the pressure in the joint effectively trying to force the adhesions apart). It also did not work for me. Lots of painful physio worked for me

Hi timetravellerscompanion, thanks for replying, I mentioned that there's been no mention of further physio but I do have another appointment with the shoulder specialist in a month's time so maybe he will check for improvement and recommend more physio then. Sorry to hear the actual procedure didn't work for you-it seems we are all on a long road!
