Cold sores on finger?

DS - the annoying boy - had started biting his nails (yuk).

On one of his fingers there is what looks like a cluster of 3 small cold sores (finger nail side, just under the cuticle).

Any ideas - could it be a cold sore? It's been there a couple of weeks and he says it's not sore (although he also says he's not biting his nails - they must be shrinking then).

Cold sores or warts?

dementedpixie · 28/09/2017 20:02

You can get them on fingers but that means he must have got herpes from somewhere

They look squishy and not round so more like cold sores (which he gets sometimes).

Periungual wart?

If he already gets cold sores then he could pass it to his fingers if he had an active cold sore. Herpetic whitlow (sp?) I think it's called

Why should I do? I've threatened amputation...
