Depressed - diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease

I've just read my health records and seen that after my most recent blood test I am diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease! I am seriously concerned as I seem to have bypassed stage 1 and 2.
I have diabetes2 diet controlled and within the normal non diabetic range, high bp but very well controlled with medication but now my cholesterol and triclides levels are only just outside the normal range.

I am obese but feel very well, follow a low carb diet, take regular exercise and go to the gym twice a week.

I now feel very depressed and don't know what to do.

You list diabetes type 2 and high bp both well controlled, and cholesterol over normal range, yet you don't seem to acknowledge how serious all this is.
Kidney damage is one of the many complications of diabetes type 2 so I think you need to take your health into your hand and make drastic changes today. You can't afford to get any worse so you must change your diet.If despite you sticking to it you have worsened it doesn't; do you any good. Watch fork over knives on netflix or borrow the book from the library. Even if you think it sounds crazy, try it for a month. Go greens and animal product free, this means no milk, butter, cheese, meat, eggs, fish....... Plenty of raw and cooked veg, soups, stew, lentils, cut all processed foods, chips, crisps, cookies, ...
Diabetes type 2 is reversible . It takes a strong determination but I believe you are ready for a change.

KingIrving thanks for depressing me even more.

My latest hba1c is 5.7; my bp is 75/120 and the only thing that has changed for the worse is the triglycerides which is 0.1 outside the normal range. This is despite the fact that I have lost 1.5 stone in the last year, take regular exercise at the gym, have weekly sessions with a personal trainer and have followed a low carb diet for the past year.

I am depressed because I have just seen my health records and they show that I am now diagnosed as having stage 3 ckd,. I didn't know the results of my recent blood test when I last saw my Gp and when I asked him about them all he said was that my blood glucose levels were normal but that my chloresterol was slightly raised. he didn't mention the stage 3 ckd.

I will make an appointment with my gp to ask him why I suddenly have this diagnosis.

I didn't mean to upset you and I am truly sorry if I did.

I became vegan this year to see if it helped a genetic syndrome I have. While researching for my condition, I constantly bumped into medical papers, documentaries and websites on vegan and diabetes. I didn't stop to read because I don't have diabetes, but you might want to have a look into it. The most famous physician is this doctor www.pcrm.org/media/experts/neal-barnard-diabetes-book

here a ted talk
and several more

This book from a cardiologist and another doctor might ring some bells www.forksoverknives.com/how-i-reversed-my-diabetes-and-stopped-all-medications-with-a-plant-based-diet/#gs.taK6Uoc

Watch fork over knives if you get a chance to.

I am sorry that you are going through a hard time and it must have come as a shock, especially as you were following the rules, losing weight and exercising.
The diabetes guidelines have been under criticism for a while. Watch a couple of talks and speeches and see if it makes sense to you.

Try for a month to go on a low fat vegan diet. It means eating an awful lot of veggies to reach your daily calories. From oven baked pumpkin to green beans, tomatoes and onion salad, tofu, chickpeas , minestrone soup, .... it won't be boring and it is very nutritious.
