I've had migraines on & off since puberty. After my first was born I had a cluster of occurrences and then it settled down. It was a hormone thing with me at that time.

I've had migraines since puberty. After my first was born I had a cluster of occurrences but it then settled down. With me at that time it was clearly hormone driven.

Mine's an odd story really. I always had migraines with aura and at uni I had a bad patch but then it settled down to one every 6 months or so in my 20's. After kid one I had a cluster of loads in the first month. Then it disappeared but I got dizzy often. At the time I was treated for labrynthitis. 3.5 years later I had kid two. Nothing different about migraines with aura but I got this dizzy thing again. Loads of investigations later turns out all this time I've been having vestibular migraine ie migraine with vertigo. No pain, no other symptoms but the odd bit of vertigo. So now I'm on amitriptyline as a migraine suppressant and I have zero problems, plus I sleep like I'm dead & hubby sorts the kids in the night. Bingo!

Just see how it goes. The odds are you'll have a few but then you hormones will calm down & you can deal with whatever is left.

Seek some medical advice. I was told ibuprofen was a better thing to take than paracetamol. I always found I just needed to fall asleep. It was like ctrl alt delete for my brain & the migraine would go. But everyone's different. I'm lucky as it has rarely been painful.
