Moveable lump in my cheek

I'm pretty sure this is a gland but I've had such a bad cold recently, could this be the product of a sinus infection? Does it need antibiotics?

When you say in your cheek, do you mean your actual cheek or nearer your jawline? I’m not being deliberately pedantic, just that there aren’t any lymph nodes (glands) in your cheek as such. If it’s near your jaw or ear then it’s probably a lymph node but unless it’s causing you any problems I shouldn’t have thought it would require antibiotics. Obviously if it doesn’t go away or causes any issues then see your GP.

My lymph nodes are quite overexcitable so always pop up when I get bugs, but my GP just said some people’s do that.

If you have any of the symptoms listed on the NHS website then see your GP. Otherwise it’ll probably go away on its own.

BY cheek, where exactly do you mean?

Anyway, it's a lump, it wasn't there before - get a real life GP to look at it.

Is it on your jaw line, the bone? What size is it? Is is soft or feel quite hard? Is it painful?

A small pea sized lump that is firm is often a cyst. They are harmless. Often stick around, disappear, can appear elsewhere like on your wrist or shin, then disappear again. But it might be worth getting it checked.

It's an infected salivary gland. I've got amoxicillin.

I hope it clears up quickly
