Sorry, excuse the phrase but I am new to posting and don't know what is allowed! In a nutshell, fear I have saggy fanny, and looking for advice. Have seen physio who says is within the range of normal but I think has got worse over time. Apart from exercising, does anyone have any tips? Has anyone used any of those pre-sex gels or had surgery?

How does one know they have a saggy fanny??
Do you mean internally ?

Choosegopse · 15/09/2017 13:24

Yes, internally. Sorry, probably wierd expression. You can tell if you can't stop a flow of wee.

What I mean is that my muscles have been stretched due to pregnancy and childbirth. I don't leak urine when I cough etc but I did have a prolapse. My partner can tell the difference, and I also find sex less intense. I know you can see this as just the way things go but wondering if I can be more proactive.

Do your pelvic floor exercises. Don't expect to return to the pre-childbirth you. No one should expect you to.

How long has it been since you gave birth? It takes time to return to normal. Pelvic floor exercises definitely

Kids are now 11 and 7! I did exercises for years but have tailed off. It wasn't as much of a problem at first but has got worse, maybe because I let them slide?

Look into getting an I sure tens machine... I just bought one off Amazon (it is about £60, but I promise it's worth it!).
20 minutes every day... you just leave it running and lie there reading a book or whatever so easy to do. 4 days in I was already feeling and seeing results (and you are meant to do for 3 -4 months so I can only assume the improvements keep coming)
Has definitely brought back a lot of the lost sensation, which was what I was most sad about, and I think the act of using it must just get the blood pumping in the area... cos it's done wonders for my libido too (not that it was suffering particularly, but it's definitely boosted!)
I'm a recent concert to this machine, and as you can tell rather pleased to have found it. I wholeheartedly recommend it if you can afford to.

I would have thought your muscles would have improved over time, not the opposite. Maybe continue with the pelvic floor and go back to the GP if there's no improvement.

Maybe it's just general aging effects now? Or maybe I am just thinking about it because we are having general sex problems and I think it is something to do with it.

Pilates is very good for your pelvic floor.
