Flu Jabs for children - any nurses / doctors about?

One of my children is offered a free flu jab at school, which is a sniff rather than an injection. The other is not.
I'd like to get the other one immunised as well, and preferably by the sniff not the jab. The local pharmacy which does the sniff says they'll have to do two, exactly one month apart and at the grand sum of £30 a pop (so £60 total). The school only gives on sniff and has only ever done so.
Anyone know whether the top up is actually needed or not? sounds similar to pet jabs the first time they have them but I don't know whether that's necessary either

That is oddd. I think it is only one. In case it is if interest the US have pulled the vax as it had only 3% efficacy. And it has side effects ( such as the flu).

It was previously recommended that children who had not received a flu vaccine before needed 2 doses but the NHS guidelines this year is that 1 dose is sufficient as the 2nd dose provides little additional cover. The only exception is kids with underlying medical conditions.
Hope that helps.
