dd1 would agree with you.

Nbg · 02/04/2007 17:49

I'll agree with that too.

You suffer with it AB or your children?

allieBongo · 02/04/2007 17:51

Aww poor little girl
Is she on steroids?

drosophila · 02/04/2007 17:55

Is it connected to an infection? DS has asthma and was recently prescribed Singulair and we are awaiting to see if he is one of the lucky one's that it works for. It can be amazing for some people. Worth asking about.

allieBongo · 02/04/2007 17:55

oh yes. 4 a day since friday, ten puffs every 2-4 hour of ventolin, 2 lots if becotide, antibiotics and lots if cream for her poor skin. she is so hyper she has run me ragged all over the ward

I second the singulair,it has done wonders for ds.Apparently works for people who have allergy related asthma.

drosophila · 02/04/2007 17:59

SINGULAIR® (montelukast sodium) is a prescription medicine approved to help control asthma in adults and children as young as 12 months and to help relieve the symptoms of indoor and outdoor allergies (outdoor allergies in adults and children as young as 2 years, and indoor allergies in adults and children as young as 6 months).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
SINGULAIR should be taken once a day, as prescribed. SINGULAIR is available by prescription only.

allieBongo · 02/04/2007 18:01

thanks for that. I have to go back to outpatients next week. Will ask about it

A bit more -

What is Singulair?
? Singulair is a leukotriene (loo-koe-try-een) inhibitor. Leukotrienes are substances in the body that are associated with the inflammation and constriction of airway muscles and the accumulation of fluid in the lungs, all of which occur during an asthma attack.
? Singulair is used to prevent asthma attacks. Singulair is also used in the treatment of seasonal nasal allergies.
? Singulair may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
