PCOS?

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on fertility.

I don't have all the typical symptoms of PCOS however I do have irregular cycles (24-36 days) and excessive facial hair Sad. I went to the doctors earlier this year since the facial hair got worse and they did a hormone blood test which was fine.

I don't have severe pain every month nor do I bleed heavily. I'm not sure if I ovulate every month though I suspect not since I don't get the same symptoms each month.

I'm not trying for a baby yet however I wondered if it would be worth going to the doctors now? My worry is my DH has just finished treatment for testicular cancer. He didn't respond well to treatment and ended up with 4 cycles of one chemotherapy and 4 cycles of another plus radiotherapy. He froze sperm but the likelihood of him being fertile within the next few years is slim to none. I worry if we undergo fertility treatment and I do have problems it could set us back even further. Does anyone have any experience?

(Sorry it's so long)

I have PCOS. Never knew until started trying for a baby at age 25. Took a year to fall pregnant as I hardly had any periods. My symptoms are hair everywhere (seriously considering laser hair removal as holidays are a nightmare), mood swings, fatigue and stress. I have 2 children now and fell pregnant quickly with 2nd. I manage PCOS through a low sugar low dairy diet, virtually no alcohol, exercise daily and get lots of sleep.
If you want children I would recommend trying sooner rather than later. It can take a long time. Sorry to hear you've been through such a difficult time with your DH being so unwell.
