Any idea what this and and what causes it? The last few hours I have felt like I am just about to drop, sudden waves of faintness like being weightless, like on a swing. It's really scarey actually because it feels like my heart is about to stop! Probably nothing but thought i'd ask. Tried google but didn't get much.

Thanks xXx

And breathe...

STOP reading the NHS site (or any other medical sites).

You have called them, they are ringing back. Stop working yourself into a frenzy.

Oh no QP, the internet can worry you like hell with things like this as symptoms really could mean lots of things.

Try not to worry, it won't help make you feel better. I was REALLY REALLY worried when I was ill like this - very scary and it was only an ear infection LOL.

Fingers crossed that it's just like me but deffo best to get the advice from NHS Direct. Let us know what they say

Benign Positional Vertigo is a possibility as you said that it happens when you tip your head forward.

It's sometimes called BPV if you want to google it. SpaceCadet is the expert on it -try an archive search.

got an out of hours appointment with SebDoc. Just about to go now. For some strange reason I lied about using contraception

Good luck! I'm not sure what you mean about the contraception but deffo tell them the truth at the appointment!

looneytune · 02/04/2007 08:03

How did you get on QP?

Quootiepie · 02/04/2007 12:34

Hello
Went to out of hours GP who took BP, did something with my eyes then told me to see GP today. I thought i'd be OK today, but, it's still there! Off to see GP this evening sometime.

Sorry, just seen this. HOw did GP go?

Quootiepie · 02/04/2007 19:36

Didn't go in the end, didn't feel well enough! It's getting worse, plus accompanied by palpatations/fluttering now.
