Baby being fussy breastfeeding - could it be to do with my period?

Baby girl is 2 months old and past couple days she's been really hard work to feed. She's clamping her gums onto my nipples, screaming in frustration hovering over my nipple rather than latching on but yet still showing signs she's hungry. I've started my period first time since giving birth, could it be linked?
Or colic?

Is she dribbling? Could be the first grumblings of teeth. DD had this at about 8 weeks, though no actual teeth until about 5 months. It lasted about a week, though the dribbling continued until the first tooth appeared.

I do find my pre-period/period hormones make DD a bit grumpy. I always thought I was projecting MY grumpiness, but maybe there's something in it (they upset my digestion as well so maybe her too?).

Yep - I think supply temporarily dips during AF and also milk can be saltier so taste a bit different.

Poor you getting your period back so soon after birth Cake

She is dribbling yes and chewing her fists. She last fed 4 hours ago so should be hungry and was showing signs but wouldn't latch on at all just screamed. We've needed to go out so we in the car now and she's fast asleep. I'm just dreading if she's still not latching when I try in public with her screaming.

It just seems like a light bleed so far so not sure if it's a proper period or not but defiantly something :( is it not normal to get your period so soon? I've started the pill again but lost the sachet I started (in process of moving house) so missed one or two pills.
