Since November we have had a lot of d n v bugs.. 7 times in my youngest to be precise (on the 7th one at present).. does anyone elss children have this problem? Some must be viruses as they spread) but surely this is too much?!

She's nearly 2 and does got to nursery but they aren't always when she's been there. 1. Started in Nov with the big one where we all were pukin/pooing (2nadults 3 kids others are 3/6)

  1. Dec she starts with d then the odd v for over a week
  2. January she woke up sick in the night 6 times (I caught mild version few days later) 4. Full blown d n v in youngest two again
  3. End of march sick 5 times in 3 hours (no d)
  4. Middle child had d then youngest a few days later sick sporadically over a few days 7. nOW! Sat eve the poo started sun was ok Monday morn a bad nappy followed by two middle night pukes early hours and lethargy today.

Seriously at my wits end and starting to think it's something in my house that's causing the problem like the ongoing mice problem we have or sandpit in the garden. Am I paranoid?!?

I've tended to find that illnesses do go in phases. So you're run down from the first and more inclined to catch the second.
You'll also find (Ihave 3 dc too) that dc1 and dc2 probably pick them up at school/nursery, have them mildly and pass them onto your dc3 who has them badly. Well we do tell them to shared don't we?
So your children are having 3 places of sending bugs their way!

Without making any assumptions about your hygiene, how is your/their hand washing? I have Kidney disease so a stomach bug could kill me so regular and thorough hand washing is a must.
Also try a good probiotic as that can help the stomach fight off bad bacteria.

I do love my hand washing especially when we come in from places like the park supermarket etc... also stopped using trolley seats I read they are riddled with germs! Eeeew

Maybe I should look into probiotics need to try something can't have another winter like last think I used most of my annual leave on sickness.

Here's to a bug free winter hopefully for all 👍🏼

You've probably just been unlucky but other place to look is your fridge and do a deep clean of the kitchen.
Make sure kids are washing hands when you aren't there.

Also try binning bath toys. They can harbour high levels of bacteria - especially the squirting ones.
