Os ot glue ear..that sort of exist in many young children because of their size/age..i.e. things are amnatomically normal really just a bit tight...iykwim...and mot of the time tey out grow that, somethimes of course they need more help...but you say she is hearing well ...just...(not jsut, but ykwom) has infections with no problem...don't think tere is much to do , unless it effects teh hearing..just count yourself lucky, I suppose!
And, yes, I know how unpleasnt earinfections are...ahve suffered a lot of those....

CremeEggs - if it's weeping then the eardrum has definitely burst. They heal back up quite quickly but the dov should know that

All my three suffered with glue ear - repeated ear infections and weeping ears. Two of them had grommits - little tubes placed in the ear drum to help the rubbish drain away, they both had tonsils and adenoids out too. dd grew out of her problems.

Flying with glue ear is vile and very painful your poor niece. My ds 2 still has problems flying. He's 15 now and landing reduces him to tears.

I think they can open them up somehow

BigCremeEggs · 02/04/2007 13:36
