Ok,So I have been wearing contacts for about 15 yrs, never had any problems with them.
However this last week or so one of my lenses is bothering me,and it's made me reconsider Laser Eye.
I was wanting to do this 3yrs ago when I sold my house, except I got pregnant instead! so it's been put on hold and then forgotten about really.
I Have done some research and Optegra is the one which seems to get the best reviews.
My question is has anyone used these?
Could you tell me a little bit about your experiences with laser eye.
I have got a consult and now starting to worry about risks etc...(natural born worrier)

It's amazing. Genuinely wonderful immediately after when everything comes into focus.

With two kids I find it easier not to have to faff with glasses and contacts. Ditto holidays and flying.

I had no issues at all, no halos or issues driving or at sunset. It's pretty cool technology. I went to ultralase and they were great.

Is the actual procedure uncomfortable?

I had mine done about 10 years ago.

No regrets, even though my prescription has deteriorated since then and I have to wear glasses for driving again. My prescription is weak in comparison to what it used to be. I potter aboit the house without glasses, can swim, run and gym without them too. Freedom!

The procedure itself wasn't uncomfortable, just a bit odd.

Once the topical anaesthetic wore off, it was uncomfortable until I had a nap. That made them much better.

The hardest bit was trying to remember to not rub my eyes! I'm a hayfever sufferer, so it would have been easier for me to have it done in winter. Silly me.

I think it's an amazing procedure. I did find it quite horrific whilst it was happening but I am quite a wimp. My clinic gave me.sleeping pills to take once I got home to sleep it off a bit. When I woke the next morning the improvement in vision was remarkable.
