Contact lense help

I have been wearing soft contact lenses for 15 years.
These last few weeks my left contact seemed to get blurry quite a lot-thinking it was the lense I rinsed it/or changed it-however even after doing so it happened again.
Now my left eye feels itchy-it is not red or infected looking.
I am still using my contacts and using some drops for sore eyes.
I am due to go on Holiday soon and am worried that it will all become worse and I will not be able to use my lenses
This would be a nightmare-I need to wear sunglasses and obviously it would be too late to get prescription ones, so I would not be able to see a thing!! my eyesight is bad.
I do have glasses but hate wearing them.
Hopefully this will just clear up in a few days-any one had anything similar happen?

I get this once in a while - maybe have a day or two of wearing glasses?? Let it settle before your holidays. A warm compress can be quite nice too x

I had a real spell of this last year and was diagnosed with dry eye. Had to have a two week break from lenses which was a real pain as I too hate wearing and in particular driving in my glasses. Switched to daily lenses which has really helped, agree with the warm compress and I used an ointment at night blurs your vision for 15 mins or so so not for use in the morning, Lacri Lube which I bought otc at the pharmacy as recommended by my optician. Can you get an appointment before your holiday just to check it out? Hope it improves soon.

Hi optometrist here.

Take the lens out and go and see your optician in the morning. It could be anything from a dodgy batch of lenses to a potentially blinding infective keratitis.

I agree with above (well they are an optom after all) you can't risk your vision.
Stop wearing lenses between now and your appointment.
