Does he sound like he needs a good cough? Is it noise when he breathes in or out?

Hi She wheezes most of the time and yes it does sound like she needs a cough but also wheezes on exhale. its worse at night i have been using ventolin via spacer but does not seem to have an effect. I am asthmatic and worry that she is and may have an attack, may be going over the top?

If you've got history of asthma in the family then I'd make an appointment to see the practice nurse they usually run the asthma clinics. She/he could give you advice and check that she's got both inhalers at the right dose, it might help to put your mind a rest. I don't think they will formally diagnos asthma until the child is about 2yrs old but they can keep an eye on it.
My ds2 who's 7 months is noisy when breathing in and just sounds like he needs to cough something up. He had a bout of croup a month or so ago and needed steroids, I just think he's got a floppier/ smaller than average airway and a part from properly being more prone to future croup attacks he'll just grow out of it. I hope so anyway or he'll be one hell of a snorer
Hope you get to the bottom of it
