Just wondering what your healing sockets looked like. Mine seems to be a fetching snot green and is still rather painful. I'm concerned about infection. Gross photos attached

When did you have it removed?

I had a tooth removed two years ago and it just looked bloody..dark congealed blood looking.
Personally I think you should get it looked at.

Go to the dentist/ GP. Looks infected. X

HairNinja · 09/08/2017 20:04

Mine looked almost exactly like that and healed perfectly. It's the clot that forms that then goes a bit manky but try and resist disturbing it as long as possible. I'd say mine looked like that on day 2-5ish.

HairNinja · 09/08/2017 20:06

This was mine on day 3 I think

That looks like a dry socket & the only thing you can do is go back to the dentist who will dress it & maybe give you some antibiotics. Hope it's better soon ( I'm a dental nurse)

Hello all, thank you for the quick replies. I am on day 3 of removal. I will give the dentist a call in the morning and offer to email over the photos and see what he thinks! Hopefully he won't open them until after breakfast.

How did you get on @WetsTheFinger?

WetsTheFinger · 10/08/2017 19:09

Yup, dry socket. Had to be numbed up and have the socket scraped out to make it bleed again and form a new clot. Now very very painful but luckily this clot is still in place a few hours later! And no infection present luckily.
