Painful large Verrucca

I have a large very painful verruca on bottom of heel, long story but it took a long time to diagnose, even had a CT scan, as it did not look or seem like one. I have had 2 laser treatments so far has been recommended that I have 2 more then there is talk of surgically removing it as it is so big, which will create an ulcer and wearing a surgical boot for 4 weeks, not something I really want to do. Has anyone had any success with laser or any other treatments?

Full sympathies from me. I have verrucas too and have found the treatments to be worse than the verrucas themselves. So I no longer bother with the treatments (none worked anyway). I've had my current verrucas for a year and a half. Just can't shift them. Sad

Sorry to hear that. Mine is on my heel so weight bearing pain each time I stand, otherwise I would have just left alone to see if my immune system gets rid of it.

I assume you've tried extra strength bazooka?

I got it for ds' massive warts which were all over his hands. It said takes up to 2 weeks.
I put the stuff on night 1. Night 2 ds peeled all the stuff off and the warts came with it and have totally gone.

Ive had a varucca for nearly 20 years. Had so many treatments including a full year of cryo. Didn't changr even slightly.

i had one the size of a 2£ coin. they are a virus and only go when the bodies immune system kicks in and fights the virus.

i was very stressed when i had mine - i had over 30. i got signed off work and within 2 weeks they disappeared. even the monster sized one went.

i suggest your work out the real cause . nothing works until your body decides to get rid.

Apple cider vinegar soaked cotton wool, kept in place with a plaster overnight. Only thing that has helped me and DS.

Duct tape occlusion has been proved by many medical studies (here is one) www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12361440 to be far more effective in treating verrucas.
I have seen it working with my kids and in friends ' kids, and they even admitted they didn't believe it would work.

Take some duct tape (the grey serial killer type) or electrical isolation tape, or any kind of heavy duty strong tape and cut a piece big enough to completely cover the verruca. Every time it falls (after shower, pool, ....) put a new piece on. After a week in light case or a month in bad cases, verruca is gone.

Read some medical paper if you want just google PUBMED (for medical publications) followed by verrucas and duct tape. You will be surprised but even more surprised when you see it working.

DD2 recently got rid of one she had had for three years with apple cider vinegar stuck in a cotton ball stuck on with a big wad of duct tape that she kept on for a week or so, then changed and put on new acv cotton ball under fresh duct tape, repeated for a few weeks until it fell off. She had another wart on the side of a toe and just wrapped it in duct tape with no acv until it fell off about ten days later.
