HELP - I'm in so much pain.

As today has progressed, the pain has got increasingly worse. I'm having pain that seems to go from my hip, down my thigh (the front of my thigh) to just above my knee. It's agonising. The only thing I can think of is that I was pushing my daughter in her pushchair up a fairly steep hill with my four year old son holding on to the pushchair frame so I was having to push some of his weight too if that makes sense.

Do you think that is what has caused this? The pain is really sore now and I have health anxiety so I end up panicking. I also wondered if the pain could somehow be caused by my anxiety as I know I've had a lot of symptoms that have been caused by my stress levels being too high.

Any advice? Thank you.

Don't have a hot bath, it can increase the inflammation and make everything worse (sadly talking from experience, though osteopath explained why).

See your GP I had pain like that and it was bursitis. Inflammation of the sac in the joint. I would also tell the GP about the tick bite. The hip, pain is probably not caused by that but general pain and fatigue are

Definitely see your GP if it's that painful. In the meantime, follow RICE: Rest, ice, compression, elevate.

Impossible to do those on my own with the two kids Sad absolute nightmare. Doctors is a mile away, I don't drive and don't have the spare money for taxi's Sad I'll call them when they open in 5 minutes though. Hopefully ibuprofen will make the walk bareable.

The walk may actually make the pain go away.

I'm back. Muscle damage apparently. Don't ask me the name of the muscle as I can't remember for the life of me. Something that connects the waist to the thigh or something. I've been given some exercises to do and to keep going with the ibuprofen. Thanks for all your advice and support.
