I'll start off by saying I have namechanged but I am a longtime member.

Long story short...
5 dcs all born by C-section. Then 5 months after youngest was born I had an ovarian cyst removed via open surgery, essentially another C-section, but not through to the uterus.

Unsurprisingly all this surgery caused some weakness to the area and I developed an incisional hernia which was repaired in May 2012.

Even after this repair my tummy still felt lumpy but at a follow up appointment the consultant said it was just fluid and that eventually it would sort itself out.

Fast forward to last summer and I had gained a massive amount of weight due to life circumstances leading to unhappiness. However, last year a type 2 diagnosis followed by the realisation I weighed over 30 stone kicked me into waking up and starting at weightwatchers.

I've lost 8st2lbs so far (and still have at least 7 st to lose) and while my lumpy tummy has been there many years its becoming more noticeable as I lose more weight. In bed, I cant bear my husband touching me in case he feels it and when I'm standing up it feels very heavy. When I do any kind of bouncy exercise like running, if I run at netball, Zumba etc it bounces around and slaps on my legs.

I'm just wondering whether to seek medical advice now and have the embarrassment of being examined and then told to come back when ive lost more weight or just wait it out, try and get some sort of all encompassing undergarment to strap it down until i'm closer to my goal weight.

Photo included was taken this morning laying in bed.

I would seek help for it now. Why wait? It's what doctors are there for.

BigBlue even though i'm still fairly fat? I am feeling very self conscious about sagginess anyway due to losing weight so to subject myself to this examination just to be told I need to lose more weigh first would be quite embarrasing
