Will I get a scar from this, does anyone know?

I tried to stop myself crying in a counselling session early this week by scraping my wrist over and over. I only realised this as I left with a red-raw wrist or I would have stopped.

Of course it came up in lots of small scratches, and eventually came up like the attached picture.

I accidentally scraped half the scabs off earlier, then stupidly did the rest to make it match up. I've put plasters over it now.

Is there something I can do to stop it scarring or will it just be ok on its own?

Picture re-attached - any clues anyone? (If I talk to a pharmacist would they know?)

Sore to to hear you're having a difficult time.

I don't think it's deep enough to scar but don't scrape the scabs any more.

Vaseline Aloe Vera (in the green tin) is very good for grazes.
I used it when I fell and grazed my lip face and chin.
It keeps everything supple and stop repeat scrabbling and cracking

It shouldn't leave a scar as it just looks like a graze but might stay red for a wee while.
Keep it moisturised.

Flowers Thank you all so much. It sounds stupid worrying about a scar I know. I seem to be getting anxious over ridiculous things at the moment.

I'll pop to boots and pick up some Vaseline now.

Find something else to do instead of picking at it.
Anything to distract your hands.
Piece of string to knot?
