Been hypo for a while, can usually tell if things aren't right as I get more palpitations, so I had a test yesterday. These are my results- TSH 2.26 (up from 0.5) T4 21.3 They didn't do T3. I know my GP will say the TSH is fine, but should I try and up my dose on that or is it ok because the T4 is a good level?

You and dd both need to get your levels up to around 100 to be optimal. Yours is severely deficient. Can't believe your GP didn't comment! That's really poor. My GP prescribed a high dose for 2 months when my dd's level was 31, but we now all take vit d permanently as we don't get much sun and don't expose a great deal of skin to the sun and we block it with sun cream.

I don't get much sun either, as I am really white so wear sunblock or i burn. I'm also allergic to wasp stings so don't do much gardening in high Summer!

My mother had bad osteoporosis, so I'm worried now about the low Vit D. Will take a supplement.
