Yesterday afternoon I had a little nap in bed and dh brought ds2 to me for a feed. But as I rolled over to feed him on the other side, the room sort of tipped and spun around. It felt as if I was going to fall off the bed. The vertigo (?) wouldn't stop and I got panicky and yelped for dh. For the rest of the afternoon, every time I turned my head the world spun. I couldn't roll over in bed, let alone get out of bed.

And today I'm fine again.

Have I finally flipped, or is this just the finer details of sleep deprivation torture?

I'm not sure what it is but I've also had that when I've been lying down. It has happened to me 3 or 4 times but infrequently enough that I haven't done anything about it. It feels horrible though doesn't it?!

Its your inner ear, get the dr to check it!

bunnypeculiar · 25/03/2007 21:32

I had somthing similar when I had an ear infection after diving ... might be worth getting a doc to look at your ears?

bunnypeculiar · 25/03/2007 21:32

or even in them..

mummytosteven · 25/03/2007 21:34

I had that once about 5 years ago, never had it again. I assume it was just some weird virus.

I went to the GP, he checked my heart with stethoscope, that was fine, so he said to come back if it happened again and I would be referred for tests if it happened again. So I would go to docs just to be on safe side.

caterpiller · 25/03/2007 21:36

You've just reminded me about this!!
I used to get this from time to time and it started after my 2nd baby.

I'd say it used to happen every couple of months, but probably hasn't happened for about a year now. I never did look into it.

Carmenere · 25/03/2007 21:37

Sounds like vertigo to me. I have it and get attacks quite often, not too much they can do apparently. Go to the gp.

PrettyCandles · 25/03/2007 21:39

But if there's not much they can do, why bother going to the GP?

And why did he check your heart if it's in your ears, MTS?
