Ok

All day I have had a pain in my left arm and shoulder
I think it's because I have slept badly (due to lower back pain)

I'm on Nurofen but it's not touching it - anyone got any helpful tips?

What kind of pain?

skyzumarubble · 11/07/2017 18:28

Just in the arm and shoulder or anywhere else?

MojitoMollie · 11/07/2017 18:29

I'm pretty confident it's not heart attack

Shoulder blade, shoulder, top of arm

Ache, chronic rather than acute

Had previous problems with wrist, had a number ops- last one about 3 yrs ago

you could google "frozen shoulder"

MojitoMollie · 11/07/2017 18:52

It's the first time it's happened, and it's been all day

I googled... don't think it's that

Is it like a deep constant ache which becomes sharp on movement? Has anything made it worse today or has it stayed the same?

Very gentle movement should help and prevent it from getting more stiff.

You may be right in that you've slept awkwardly. From what you've described it doesn't sound likely to be anything sinister.

Perhaps try ice on it and see if that eases it a little.

Sometime paracetamol alongside an nsaid like naproxen can also be helpful.

Do you have any visual disturbance, and weakness, problem swallowing?

MojitoMollie · 11/07/2017 19:31

Constant
Found some naproxen so had one of those about an hour ago but still hurts

I have some cocodamol in my pull cupboard which I'll have for bedtime to help me sleep
