Has anyone had a daith piercing?

Has anyone done this for headaches or anxiety or both?

I suffer regular headaches of varying degrees, some are debilitating migraines, others can be managed with osteopathic treatment
Also suffer anxiety and take medication for this.

Considering a daith piercing, I mean what's the worst that can happen?? It doesn't work?? My ear drops off??

Any advice or experience would be great thanks

Hi, no I haven't, but am seriously considering letting my 14yr DD Have one as she has terrible migraines. So am following this with interest!

Yup. Totally worked for me.

My piercing came out back in January and I had a hideous time until I had it redone. When they repeirced it it was like the fog had lifted.

I was always pretty Hmm about acupuncture but I've eaten my words.

I've got one, I've noticed that I do have less headaches and if I do get one it's not as painful and I can take paracetamol and it goes quicker. Could be a placebo effect but I'm glad either way! I know there's not much evidence that they work but that is what I've found.
It's not permanent so if you don't like it you can always take it out :)

After I got mine I ended up with 4 more piercings as I decided I liked the piercing as much as the reduction in headaches Grin

Have never heard of this! Going to research.

I've been researching this piercing for the same reason so following this with interest!

I have one. I can't say it's improved my migraines and headaches, they have improved but I had medication changes not long after the piercing so no idea which one has caused that.
However, be warned before getting it: it is one of the hardest to heal piercings. It's not like lobes that heal in a couple of months, it can take a year to fully heal. So that's a year of cleaning it and looking after it and it possibly getting pretty sore sometimes while it heals. It can make wearing headphones annoying too while it heals.
I love mine, it has some lovely jewellery in it, but it's not an easy piercing to heal.

Yes, made zero difference.

But I like piercings so it doesn't matter!
