What is the normal range please? Dr Google gives me various answers.

Medics have expressed concern about my low grade temps but I genuinely think this is normal for me.

Thanks in advance.

36-38 degrees

Would 37.8 / 37.9 be considered a fever at all then?

It is highish.

I work at a hospital and when I do patient observations they don't score unless there temperature is below 36 or above 38, xx

No I don't think so.
I am always cool too,it's so annoying to be feeling really poorly, glands swollen and thermometer still showing 36 or 37 degrees. Confused

Yes, it's a low-grade fever. Normal body temperature is 36.5-37.4c. A temperature between 37.5c-37.9c is a low-grade fever, which would usually be treated with paracetamol and monitored. We would normally do blood cultures if a patient had signs of infection and a temperature of 38c or above.

I'm in hospital and they are a bit worried that nothing is shaking these temps but I think it's normal for me. I have chronic health issues and I've heard that borderline fevers are associated.

I'm just worried that if they keep me here till I'm lower in temp, I may as well move in! Will discuss at ward round.

May I ask what your health conditions are? I'm currently seeing drs for a regular high temp anywhere between 37.6-38.5 and having loads of tests done to establish why.

Do you mind if I PM you? My problems are quite specific and therefore, identifiable.

Of course not. I just have to figure out how PM's work
