I'm devestated that I have one. I'm on day 3/ 7 of antibiotics but not really feeling a difference. How long does it take for the meds to kick in??

I was given hard core antibiotics on a drip in hospital. My hcps ignored it despite my protests for days after dd was born.
Hopefully you have caught it in time and the antibiotics should kick in soon.

Did the antibiotics cure it? Was yours painful? Mines not really apart from the odd niggle when I move around and it's not oozing.

Very painful - couldn't walk without crying out in pain. Needed to be re-hospitalised after being discharged unchecked with new baby. Antibiotics cured it but I also needed surgery because it all healed badly.
In other words, the sooner you get it sorted the better.

I last had a natural birth seven years ago! But I have lots of scar tissue. No this doesn't affect walking or sitting or anything. Gp had another look today and said it's going down well but to finish the course.

You must finish the course- then get the gp to take a look. Hopefully all will be ok. The antibiotics never seem to work at the start but then they do. Hope you feel better soon.

I had a terrible one that caused so much pain I couldn't walk and vomitted all over the floor A and E after 4 days of antibiotics had no effect. Had to be admitted for an op which they did just before midnight. Instant relief. I came round and felt totally normal. It was pressure packed with bandages the size of a small orange.
