When is it worth seeing a doctor for vague, mild, on/off leg/back/hip problems?

I have health anxiety and tend towards avoiding doctors due to a combination of a fear I'm seriously ill and a fear of being labelled a time wasting attention seeker. I'm rubbish at knowing whether to see my gp or not.

For years, I've had numbness in the side of one of my big toes, stiffness in my ankle and sometimes tingling in the top of my foot when I run.

For about eight months, I've had a patch of partial numbness about the size of my fist in the centre of the very bottom of my back/top of my bum.

Past few months, I've had on/off pain in my legs. Sometimes it's sharp pains in my feet and ankles. Sometimes it's aching in my lower legs or hips. Sometimes I feel like I'm putting my weight on my legs unevenly. Sometimes it's like a pinching in my lower back when I bend it with a feeling like it's swollen. It's irritating but it's all very mild pain.

Is it worth seeing a doctor for those symptoms? Can anybody tell me what they're likely to do if I do go?

I think you should always see a doctor when experiencing numbness or tingling as that's related to your nerves. They won't think you a time waster Smile

I would go and see a physio.

I have a very good osteopath and would be much more likely to make an appointment with her always sorts out various aches and pains as she has much more time

Numbness, see a doctor.

The other thing I didn't mention is that I'm on my feet all day at work doing a lot of repetitive lifting and bending and I can't afford to take time off. Not sure I want to know if there's something wrong with my back if they're likely to say rest and gentle exercise (I've been Googling and that advice comes up again and again), which just isn't an option.
